Consulting & Concept
During the first consultation, the customer's individual requirements are discussed. The aim is to determine which use cases come into question for the AVD solution. On the one hand, AVD can be used to implement an exact physical image of the workplace, which enables both internal and external employees to work flexibly. On the other hand, solutions can also be developed for a specific business application that can only run under certain conditions. The respective implementation of these requirements naturally requires different approaches. Therefore, a precise definition of the use cases is very important to us at the beginning.
Implementation
When implementing the developed concepts, we pay attention to the highest possible degree of automation. We write the entire AVD environment, including the network, in a code template (Infrastructure as Code - IaC). This has the advantage that misconfigurations can be quickly corrected, and all changes are automatically documented. Applications and configurations are distributed to the AVD machines via Endpoint Manager (Intune). Thanks to FSlogix, you always have your profile and data ready - no matter which VM you are currently on.
Operation
As part of our AVD service, we take care of patching, set up a reliable backup and monitor the operation of the VMs. This also includes keeping Azure costs as low as possible and only providing as many resources as needed. Depending on the service, we also react proactively to error messages in the system based on the monitoring, for example, triggered by failed user logins. This means we contact the customer before he has even opened a ticket with us. But this is of course, also possible: a ticket can be opened conveniently via our support portal.

The world is constantly changing, and so is the way we work. Nowadays, people work flexibly and "untethered", at any time and from anywhere. And since the global pandemic, home offices are no longer a rarity at the latest. To address this development, modern companies are setting themselves up accordingly. NETWORK SECURITY

Data stored locally on a device poses a potentially higher risk than data located in Microsoft's highly secured data centre in Switzerland. They always use the latest hardware and is regularly updated. In addition, these premises are secured and guarded, making it virtually impossible for potential attackers to gain physical or virtual access to the data.
USER-FRIENDLINESS
Every user can work on the familiar desktop with Windows 10 / Windows 11; cumbersome dial-in to the corporate network is unnecessary. Whether iPad, smartphone or computer: as soon as there is an Internet connection, access to a secure, fast and highly available Windows 10 / Windows 11 is guaranteed.
USER SECURITY
Those familiar with Azure's resource-based access control (RBAC) know its benefits: users may have specific permissions. For example, it is possible to authorize certain employees to only view the data - so the environment remains secure even if an account is compromised. Multi-factor authentication for groups is also possible, with the ability to set IP addresses to define locations where multiple identifications are unnecessary. If someone leaves the company, they lose access to the data stored in the cloud - and cannot download or copy it without consent. Even in loss cases, such as theft, no data is lost. With a new end device, the person concerned can reaccess the data at any time and work in a familiar environment.
ASSIGNING POOLS
Another example of AVD's flexibility is the assignment of applications from different pools to a user (a pool is composed of multiple VMs with identical configurations and applications). For example, the same user might get Outlook from an office pool and a finance application from the finance pool. But for the user, it looks like the two applications are installed locally on the PC, despite being streamed from two different VMs in the cloud.
POWERFUL SERVERS
High-performance PCs are temporarily available to employees working with AVD. It no longer matters which end device they use to access it; hence, the performance of their own hardware is irrelevant. On the other hand, private server rooms are often expensive, have to be regularly renewed, and hardly offer the possibility to expand as conveniently as with the cloud.
